The City Attorney is appointed by the City Council and is responsible for defending the city in all litigation to which the City is a party. The City Attorney advises the City Council, Mayor, officers, and employees of the city concerning legal aspects of the city’s affairs. Additionally, the City Attorney and/or his designee so approved by the City Council serve as the Municipal Court Solicitor.
